Memorandum of Cooperation between Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and the Caritas Charitable Foundation

On January 8, the rector of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta and the facilitator for community work Serhiy Makota signed a memorandum of cooperation. The working meeting was also attended by the head of the public organization “Oberig Zhytty” Andriy Khyzhny.

The document lays the foundation for combining the efforts of the university and the charitable organization in the field of social protection of the population of the Zaporizhia region, in particular internally displaced persons, people with disabilities, low-income families and other categories of citizens who need support.

Areas of further cooperation:
– implementation of joint social programs and projects for internally displaced persons and vulnerable categories of the population
– effective response to violations of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens in need of social assistance
– organization and conduct of educational, informational and educational events (conferences, seminars, trainings, round tables)
– improvement of professional competence of representatives of charitable organizations and partner organizations structures
– prevention of socially negative phenomena and support of psychological and social well-being of the population
– development of a partner network in the field of social protection and charity

The signing of the agreement is an important step in strengthening the university’s social responsibility and expanding its capabilities to support communities in today’s difficult conditions.
