Round table on attracting business to the European program "Horizon Europe"

In June, a meeting of representatives of the scientific community and business was held on the basis of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” on expanding Ukraine’s participation in the European research program “Horizon Europe”.

The round table brought together scientists and entrepreneurs: Head of the National Enterprise “Research Infrastructures” Dmytro Pavlenko, Professor of the Department of Economics and Customs, Director of the Zaporizhzhia Cluster “Engineering – Automation – Mechanical Engineering” Andriy Karpenko, Vice-Rector of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” Ruslan Kulikovsky, Vice-President of the Zaporizhzhia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andriy Kuts, as well as Head of the Ukrainian Federation of Security Industry and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Business Council Anatoliy Dolyny.

The main topic of the meeting was the creation of effective mechanisms for cooperation between Ukrainian business and the National Contact Point. After all, the formation of high-quality applications remains a difficult task for Ukrainian participants, despite the large number of open competitions within the framework of the Horizon Europe program.

Separately, the participants of the event discussed the preparation of a round table in Zaporizhia, dedicated to the role of innovations in strengthening national security and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. Anatoliy Dolynnyi shared the experience of a similar round table that took place earlier in Dnipro. The event “Innovation Ecosystem as a Driver of National Security, Post-War Recovery and Sustainable Development of Ukraine” brought together representatives of regions, universities, enterprises and technology clusters.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on further cooperation and implementation of joint initiatives. We will inform you about future events as soon as possible.
