Round table "Conceptual principles of implementation of the project of introduction of specialized education in Zaporizhzhia institutions together with Zaporizhia Polytechnic"

On August 25, a meeting with directors of secondary education institutions of Zaporizhia was held at the National University “Zaporizhia Polytechnic”. Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of creating conditions for the comprehensive development of youth and the formation of interest in education and engineering education. The acting rector also delivered a welcoming speech. Director of the Department of Education and Science of the City Council Vitaly Lysenko.

The purpose of the event is to summarize the results of the past academic year, present the calendar of educational, scientific and career guidance events for schoolchildren, as well as present new projects of Zaporizhia Polytechnic.

The calendar of events was presented by the director of the Educational, Scientific and Production Center “Zaporizhia Regional Center of Polytechnic Education” Tetyana Solovyova. During the year, students in grades 6–11 can expect:
? educational and scientific events
? career guidance programs
? intellectual and sports competitions
? competitions and festivals

Many projects have become the hallmark of Zaporizhia Polytechnic: Science Night, Career Forum, STEM project “Smart House”, Science Week and Holidays with Zaporizhia Polytechnic. During the meeting, new educational initiatives aimed at developing the intellectual and creative potential of students, forming scientific and research skills and interest in scientific activity during school hours were presented.

Special attention was paid to the Children’s and Youth Scientific University “Zaporizhia Polytechnic”, the activities of which were presented by the director Olena Nazarova. Here, students can choose clubs in the following areas: engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, IT technologies, humanitarian and social spheres.

At the end of the meeting, Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko presented certificates of gratitude to 80 teaching staff of schools for their active participation in the events and fruitful cooperation.
