Information event "Window to Europe: Research infrastructures and new opportunities of Horizon Europe"

On May 28, an information event “Window to Europe: Research Infrastructures and New Horizon Europe Opportunities” was held, dedicated to the open competitive opportunities of the Horizon Europe program in the field of research infrastructure development. The event was organized by the National Contact Point for Research Infrastructures in cooperation with the Project Activities Department of the National University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic”.

The event was opened by Vice-Rector Vadym Shalomeyev, who welcomed researchers, project managers, and representatives of the academic community. He outlined the strategic importance of Ukrainian institutions’ participation in EU programs and the importance of institutional readiness for such initiatives.

During the event, an overview of the 2025 Work Program competitions in the “Research Infrastructures” area was presented. Leading specialist of the National Research Center “Research Infrastructures” Larysa Tumarchenko and secretary of the project activity department of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Daria Khmara highlighted thematic priorities, expected results, and specifics of the conditions for participation.

The second part of the event was devoted to the preparation of project applications. Head of the Project Activities Department of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, Maria Pavlenko, shared practical advice on formulating proposals, outlined the criteria for their evaluation and typical mistakes that can affect the success of the application.

During the question and answer session, participants asked questions and received thorough answers from the speakers of the event.
