I All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference of higher education graduates and young scientists

On October 23, the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University held the 1st All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference of Higher Education Students and Young Scientists “Current Problems and Prospects for the Development of the Sphere of Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.

The conference was attended by over 300 participants, including 175 higher education students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, young scientists, over 120 representatives of higher education institutions, practitioners in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business and recreation. Due to the wide representation of participants from all regions of Ukraine, a diversity of scientific approaches, a deep exchange of experience and a constructive dialogue between representatives of different scientific schools were ensured.

The scientific achievements of the participants, aimed at a comprehensive study of modern trends in the development of the hotel, restaurant and tourism business in Ukraine, the role of local communities in the formation of tourism potential in the war and post-war period, as well as the search for effective mechanisms for the restoration of the hospitality industry, became especially valuable. 

The presented studies cover a wide range of topical issues: from conceptual approaches to the creation of hotel enterprises and a tourist destination brand based on local identity to the implementation of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and innovative management solutions in the field of tourism. The emphasis is on the economic aspects of the industry, the development of international tourism, the promotion of the cultural heritage of border regions, as well as the use of tourism as a factor in social rehabilitation and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

On 23 October, the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University held the First All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference for higher education students and young scientists, ‘Current Issues and Prospects for the Development of Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation,’ dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.

More than 300 participants took part in the conference, including 175 higher education students, postgraduates, doctoral students, young scientists, more than 120 representatives of higher education institutions, professionals in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business, and recreation. Thanks to the wide representation of participants from all regions of Ukraine, a diversity of scientific approaches, a deep exchange of experience and a constructive dialogue between representatives of different scientific schools were ensured.

Particularly valuable were the scientific achievements of the participants aimed at a comprehensive study of current trends in the development of the hotel, restaurant and tourism business in Ukraine, the role of local communities in shaping tourism potential in wartime and post-war conditions, as well as the search for effective mechanisms for restoring the hospitality industry.

The presented research covers a wide range of topical issues: from conceptual approaches to the creation of hotel enterprises and tourist destination brands based on local identity to the introduction of digital technologies, artificial intelligence and innovative management solutions in the field of tourism.
