Grant opportunities Horizon Europe: results of the information event
On October 17, the National Contact Point “Research Infrastructures”, which operates at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic University, held an online event dedicated to the opportunities of the Horizon Europe program. Representatives of universities, scientific institutions and businesses joined the meeting.
The head of the National Contact Point Dmytro Pavlenko presented the statistics of Ukraine’s participation in the program: in recent years, Ukrainian organizations have received 62.55 million euros in funding. This is 28% more than in the previous program! Ukraine took 6th place among the associated countries – a good result, especially in times of war.
The program of the event included three key blocks. Natalia Solidor, a leading specialist of the National Contact Point, presented the roadmap of competitions for 2026 for the development of research infrastructures. Myroslava Shchetinina, a leading specialist of the National Contact Point, spoke about relevant Horizon Europe competitions with an emphasis on the research potential of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University. And Maria Pavlenko, head of the project department, explained in detail the procedure for forming an application and finding partners – from the first idea to a successful submission.
In the coming years, an increase in funding is expected with a focus on innovations for the restoration of Ukraine. The National Contact Point and the university’s project department help at all stages – from the idea to the submission of an application.
