Final round table of the international project "Together We Can"
On November 25, students and teachers of the Faculty of Social Sciences became participants in the final round table of the international project “Together We Can” of the Empowerment Program for Public Leaders in Ukraine, which was implemented from February 1 to November 30, 2025 by the NGO “Social Interaction”, NU “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” in cooperation with the NGO “Human Rights Foundation” with the support of the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (IFA) with funds from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The results of the project implementation in the Zaporizhzhia region were summed up: students participated in the round table, 5 training schools in Kyiv and the summer camp “Agenda “Youth. Peace. Security” in Ukraine”.
They also participated in 3 trainings in Zaporizhia: “Media literacy for journalists and bloggers:
– 5 steps to a high level of media culture” (April 22)
– “Gender as a mainstream. Gender and inclusion” (May 15)
– “Emotional intelligence: the key to a culture of dialogue and effective conflict resolution” (May 27).
They also participated in a blog cafe:
– “Female military and female veteran in the focus of the media” (June 4)
– “Life-making in Ukrainian realities 2022–2025.” (August 20)
– “Ways to actualize the life-making resources of people affected by war” (August 24)
– “Motivation and self-motivation as the main factors influencing the achievement of the goal” (September 11)
– “Non-discrimination and human rights” (September 12)
– “Displaced women: should there be only happy media stories?” (September 15)
– “Institutionalization of Youth Organizations” (October 8)
– “Gender Equality: Reality and Challenges” (October 9)
2 blog cafes were organized for the youth of the Kushugum community: “Youth Space of the Kushugum Community: How to Create an Environment Where Youth Are Heard and Where They Can Realize Their Potential” (June 18), “Volunteering as a Basis for Community Development” (August 6).
Within the framework of the project, 2 forum performances were held using the Forum Theater methodology “For Everyone, But Not for Yourself…” for residents of the Shyrokivska Rural Territorial Community and the Vodynska Territorial Community.
73 posts were created by project participants on the www.mustpost.online platform. Bloggers covered important events for Ukraine and the Zaporizhia region, the problems of “people and war”, volunteering, youth leadership, social protection, gender equality, diversity and inclusion, many publications were devoted to the progress of the project.
During the round table, 5 ambassadors presented the results of the implementation of mini-projects: “Life-Creation in Times of War”, “Youth Leadership in Action”, “Women’s Destinies Changed by War: “What” the Media Say and “How” They Show”, “Equality in Action”, “Youth Changing the World: From Idea to Action in the Kushugum Community”.
The project activities became an impetus for drawing public attention to the problems: ensuring political, social and economic participation youth in all social processes; ensuring implementation in Ukraine of the terms of UN Security Council Resolutions 1325, 2250; development of civic activity of youth, their participation in the life of the city and the country as a whole, actualization of local problematic social issues at the level of the Zaporizhzhia community.
