The magical end of the Night of Science at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic!

On September 26, the traditional project “Night of Science” was solemnly concluded, which has been uniting Zaporizhzhia schoolchildren who are ready to research, analyze and change for 6 years.

Pro-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko and Director of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Center of Polytechnic Education Tetyana Solovyova congratulated the participants and awarded the winners of the Children’s Scientific Conference. Over 70 reports in 7 different sections in Ukrainian, English and even German – all unique and unrepeatable, practical and interesting. We are proud of our youth!

Students visited interactive locations and took part in practical master classes: Educational and Scientific Center for Experiments “Quantum”, master class “Green Energy”, master class “3D Printing”, engineering adventure workshop, master class “Smart House”, as well as master class “Forensic Research”, during which students, together with representatives of the Zaporizhia Scientific Research Expert and Forensic Center, conducted spectacular chemical experiments.

An International Conference was held in parallel, in which foreign partners of the Polytechnic, our teachers, schoolchildren and students who wanted to learn more about European and American scientific traditions.

The conference participants were welcomed by the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta, the first vice-rector Serhiy Shylo, the head of the Center for Internationalization and International Cooperation Alina Kazurova, and the deputy head of the student government Anastasia Steshenko.
A separate and especially touching moment was the greeting of Professor Krystina Gomulko: in his speech, the first vice-rector Serhiy Shylo announced the decision of the Academic Council to award her the title of Honorary Professor of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. This is a recognition of her outstanding contribution to the development of Ukrainian-Polish academic cooperation and her constant support for Ukraine.

Various topics and current challenges of our time were presented: from the search for new approaches in medicine and ecology to the development of innovative technologies, marketing and education. The lively discussions demonstrated how multifaceted the areas of scientific research are, and how important it is to combine fundamental knowledge with practical solutions to form a safe, progressive and competitive world.
