Experimental project on providing state aid for education to children of certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine
NU “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic” is a participant in a pilot project on providing state aid for education to children of certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The mechanism for implementing this project is determined by the Procedure approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 14.03.2025 No. 318: https://zakon.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/318-2025-%D0%BF#top
Targeted aid is provided in 2024/25 or 2025/26 academic year for applicants for professional pre-higher, higher education – citizens of Ukraine who study full-time and part-time at the expense of individuals (i.e. under a contract), regardless of their previously received level of education, who at the time of confirmation of consent to participate have not reached 23 years of age and belong to the following categories of persons:
? children who have the status of a family member of a deceased (deceased) Defender of Ukraine in accordance with part one of article 10-1 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”
? children of persons with disabilities as a result of the war, defined by paragraphs 11-16 of part two of article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”
? children of combatants defined by paragraphs 19–25 of part one of Article 6 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”
? children of persons who have the status of a war veteran and are considered missing under special circumstances in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Status of Persons Missing under Special Circumstances”
? children of persons who have the status of a war veteran and in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine has been established in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Social and Legal Protection of Persons in Respect of Whom the Fact of Deprivation of Personal Liberty as a Result of Armed Aggression against Ukraine, and Members of Their Families”
? children of persons with disabilities as a result of war, defined by paragraph 10 of part two of Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”
? children of persons recognized as victims of the Revolution of Dignity in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”
State aid fully covers the cost of education established by the educational institution – a participant in the experimental project for the academic year in which the student, a participant in the experimental project, is provided with state aid.
How to receive state aid?
- Students who are entitled to receive state aid must fill out the form at the link: https://forms.gle/2U91Py7p24iWYjCj6
- Apply to the university’s student trade union to provide documents confirming the relevant status.
- After receiving the certificate in the Office of the Registrar, confirm it within 20 days.
