Children's Day

Children’s Day in Ukraine is now celebrated on November 20, together with Universal Children’s Day. This date has a special meaning, because it was on November 20 that the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted – the first international document that comprehensively defines the rights of every child and the standards for their protection.

Protecting children’s rights is a shared responsibility of all of us. It is important to remember this not only on holidays, but also every day. International Children’s Day is a celebration of joy, hope and faith in the future. It is in children that we want to see the fulfillment of our dreams and aspirations. We want them to grow up healthy, happy, develop their talents and glorify their native land, and we all together — join forces for their future.

Children should not have an unhappy childhood, and the responsibility for this lies with us, adults. Care, love, support and protection of children’s rights are one of the most important duties of society.

Today, when Ukrainian children are forced to grow up faster because of the war, they need our care, safety and love more than ever.
We wish all the children of Ukraine good health, joy, bright dreams and a peaceful sky. May warmth, goodness and comfort reign in your homes, and may each new day be sunny, safe and full of good events!
