On January 22, 1919, the Act of Union became a decisive historical step on the path to establishing a unified Ukrainian state and a solid foundation for our modern independence. This holiday is a symbol of the unity of all Ukrainian lands and a reminder of the centuries-old struggle of our people for freedom, dignity and the right to be masters of their native land.

Today, more than ever, we feel the true value of unity. The university community, despite all the challenges, continues to work, develop science and education, and form generations of specialists who will build the future of a strong, independent state.

We wish all of us to maintain unity, faith, and determination. Only together can we defeat the enemy, restore what was destroyed, and build a strong, prosperous Ukraine.
