We are building a student bridge between America and Ukraine!
On November 21, within the framework of the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems of Discourse Studies, Translation Studies and Teaching Methods”, a scientific meeting of students of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation of the Faculty of Humanities of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University and students of James Madison University (Virginia, USA) was held, which was also dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
The program included the following scientific reports:

– students of GF-415 Olga Danilova «English e-Learning Vocabulary: Origins and Evolution» (scientific supervisor – associate professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Elina Kushch)
– students of GF-415 Maria Klymenko «Thematic Groups of English E-Learning Vocabulary» (scientific supervisor – associate professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Elina Kushch)
– students of GF-315 Kateryna Gerasymchuk «Tech-Driven Growth of English Scientific Vocabulary» (scientific supervisor – associate professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Elina Kushch)
– students of GF-315 Olesia Kholosta «Variability of English Educational Vocabulary in the United States» (scientific supervisor – associate professor of the Department of Foreign Philology and translated by Elina Kushch)
During the meeting, the peculiarities of the education systems of the USA and Ukraine were discussed, and students also took part in thematic quizzes.
And we ended with the performance of the national anthem of Ukraine, which was solemnly sung by Ukrainian and American students! Thank you for your support! Working together – developing together!
