Blog-cafe

On September 11, students of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University took part in a blog cafe dedicated to the basic aspects of leadership – motivation and self-motivation.

The event was hosted by Hanna Kavun, a graduate of the Journalism major at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, ambassador of the Empowerment Program for Public Leaders in Ukraine “Together We Can”, which is implemented by the NGO “Social Interaction”, the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University in cooperation with the NGO “Human Rights Foundation” (Kyiv) with the support of the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The participants took part in various activities and learned:
? what is “leadership” — everyone offered their own and selected associations related to this trait, together they identified the key qualities of a true leader, types and styles of leadership
? what is the difference between the concepts of “motivation” and “self-motivation” — they discussed the components of success: during the “motivation piggy bank” exercise, everyone shared their own experience of finding motivation to implement their plans, and also gave examples when it was not enough
? how to effectively use external and internal resources

During the situational game “Motivate me if you can”, students derived the formula for success in motivation: “I can + I want = motivation.” Even if internal resources are not enough, there is always external influence from family, friends or colleagues.

Thank you all for participating! Working together – developing together.
