A safe space for children of the Dniprorudnenskaya community to study at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University
A safe space for children from the Dniprodzerzhynsk community was set up on the basis of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The project was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian non-profit organization in Japan, the Japanese-Ukrainian Friendship Association “Krayany” and the municipality of Bad Oldesloe (Germany), where local entrepreneurs and municipal authorities joined the fundraising.
After the occupation of 70% of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Dniprodzerzhynsk community and dozens of others were relocated to Zaporizhzhia. In particular, educational institutions that have been teaching children online for almost 4 years were relocated. IDP children did not have the opportunity to attend offline classes without changing schools. This leads to the decline of the educational sphere of the occupied communities and increases the level of stress in children.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, unoccupied communities have the opportunity to introduce blended learning. The key problem for the Dniprorudnenskaya community was the lack of opportunities for offline classes in Zaporizhia. Thanks to the implementation of the project, students will now be able to attend classes in a comfortable and equipped room. The “Talant” school will be able to further implement innovative educational projects and practices in its activities, which will bring the level of education of the community to a higher level.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the implementation! Zaporizhia Polytechnic is always a reliable support and support! Working together – developing together!
