May 8 is the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War

This is a day of remembrance of the victory over one of the most terrible regimes in the history of mankind and the price it paid for freedom. A price measured in millions of destroyed destinies, lives, and cities.

Ukraine remembers. It remembers how its lands became a field of bloody battles. It remembers how its sons and daughters fought — on the fronts, in the underground, in the rear. Remembering the feat of a simple soldier.

Today, when our country is once again defending its freedom, independence and human dignity with weapons in hand, this memory adds strength, forms resilience and unity, reminds us: the struggle for peace is not an abstraction, it is a choice and a path.

We honor all who won Victory for posterity.
We remember. Never again.
